Once again, our NGHS family was pleased to support Newport Foodbank through our Winter Jumper Day and a retiring collection at the School Carol Service. We were pleased to welcome Kim from NFB in to school to give an assembly and hear about how our £1200 donation would be spent. Pictured above are some of our Austen and Seacole Form Captains presenting our donation cheque.

We also received a formal letter of thanks from the Food Bank:

“Thanks so much for the cheque for £1200.00 that you kindly donated to us from Newport Girls’ High School. It was extremely generous and will be put to good use, please thank all the staff & pupils on my behalf.
