Allocation of Year 7 places for September 2020
Parents should receive confirmation of their child(ren)’s secondary school allocation from their home Local Authority (LA) on National Offers Day (2 March 2020).

Parents of children who have been successful in obtaining a place at Newport Girls’ High School will receive a formal offer letter from the school W/C 2 March 2020.
Children who were not successful in obtaining a place at Newport Girls’ High School will be automatically added to our waiting list, providing that they have sat our entrance test and achieved the minimum qualifying score and have not been allocated a place at a school which was ranked higher on their Local Authority Preference Form (CAF1).
Admission Appeals Timeline – Year 7 Entry 2020
Parents have the right to appeal against a decision to refuse their child a place at the School. If you wish to appeal, please contact our Admissions Manager on 01952 797550 to arrange for an appeal form to be sent to you. Completed appeal forms should be returned to:

The deadline for completed appeal forms to be received is 4pm on Wednesday 1 April 2020.
A minimum of 10 working days notice will be given advising the date of an appeal hearing.
