Science Technician Apprentice

Contract term – Apprenticeship contract for (18 Months), from September 2026

Position - Full-time, 37 hours per week, Term Time Only

We are seeking to appoint a reliable, enthusiastic and motivated Science Technician Apprentice to join our successful Science Department.

The successful candidate will provide a practical, daily technician service to teaching staff through the preparation and provision of equipment, apparatus and chemicals, enabling students to safely and effectively carry out laboratory experiments. This will include supporting practical lessons, maintaining laboratory resources, and contributing to a safe and well-organised learning environment.

This is a key role in ensuring the smooth running of practical science provision across the school.

In this role, you will work towards your Laboratory Technician Level 3 apprenticeship, delivered by CSR, combining on-the-job training with structured learning.

Salary and Role Details

Hours - Monday to Thursday: 8.00am – 4.00pm, Friday: 8.00am – 3.30pm (including 1/2 hour lunch break)

Salary – Apprenticeship National Minimum Wage (dependant on age).  Actual starting salary is £12,879 per annum (FTE £15,433)
