As part of our series of 'Taste of High School' days to forge stronger links with our local primary schools, it was a pleasure to welcome Year 5 children from Newport Junior School to learn all about Japan and its culture. It was also an excellent opportunity for seeing all that is on offer at NGHS and to glimpse life in secondary school. Teachers and students alike tried their hands at origami, chopsticks and got to make and taste their own sushi.

NGHS students from years 7 to 10 who attend the lunchtime Japanese Club also enjoyed making origami animals this week.
