Mr Adam Jones
Headteacher
Mr Jones has overall responsibility for the strategic leadership of the school, including its vision, standards and student achievement. He leads school and Trust development planning, self-evaluation and financial management, and works closely with trustees. He also has overall responsibility for safeguarding, governance and compliance.
Mr Daniel Postle
Deputy Headteacher
Mr Postle leads the school’s work on inclusion and SEND and oversees the quality assurance of the curriculum and teaching. He is responsible for staff appraisal and leads the school’s self-evaluation of curriculum and teaching. He also has strategic oversight of Year 9.
Mrs Hayley Birch
Assistant Headteacher and Designated Safeguarding Lead
Mrs Birch is the school’s Designated Safeguarding Lead and leads the school’s work with vulnerable pupils and in support of student wellbeing. She has responsibility for behaviour, rewards and attendance, together with the associated areas of school self-evaluation. She also has strategic oversight of Year 11.
Miss Ann-marie Davies
Assistant Headteacher
Miss Davies leads the school’s provision for disadvantaged pupils and its Pupil Premium strategy. She is the Designated Teacher for looked-after and previously looked-after children and oversees the induction of new staff. Her wider responsibilities include ICT strategy and form time, and she has strategic oversight of Years 8 and 10.
Mr Oliver Pointon
Assistant Headteacher
Mr Pointon leads the school’s work on student progress, assessment and reporting, as well as staff wellbeing. He oversees personal development, the House System, the timetable, school calendar and events. He also leads the school’s partnership work, has strategic oversight of Year 7 and contributes to self-evaluation across achievement, personal development and wellbeing.
Miss Lorna Smith
Assistant Headteacher
Miss Smith leads the development of curriculum and teaching, with a particular focus on inclusive classroom practice. She oversees staff development and the school’s continuing professional development programme, as well as careers information, advice and guidance. She has strategic oversight of the Sixth Form and contributes to self-evaluation across curriculum, teaching, personal development and wellbeing.
Mrs Kathy Jones
Operations Manager
Mrs Jones leads a range of key operational areas, including admissions, school information systems, educational visits, health and safety and examinations. She also holds responsibility for GDPR and data protection and contributes to the school’s self-evaluation of compliance and governance.
