We are thrilled to be working with Lakeside Coaches to provide home-to-school transport for NGHS students.
Due to popular demand we are looking into the feasibility of introducing a combined Stoke and Stafford route for the academic year 2026/27. It is important to note that at this stage, the school would just like to assess whether the introduction of this route would be viable and it is not a guarantee that we will be able to introduce these routes in September 2026 and beyond.
Please also be aware that this consultation is only for students who will be attending Newport Girls' High School from September 2026. If you have not yet secured your child's place at NGHS please do not complete this form.
We would be looking to introduce this route to cover both the Stafford and Stoke-On-Trent areas. The proposed stops for these routes can be found below.
BUS STOPS
The bus stops are available to select in a drop-down box in the survey (please note these are initial stops planned based on postcode data, however these could be adapted to better suit needs). The suggested bus stops are as follows:
- 07:30 Newcastle Bus Station
- 08:10 Stafford Sainsburys (Chell Road)
Additionally, depending on demand there will be possible extra stops between Stoke and Stafford:
- Black Lion – Newcastle Rd (Newcastle Road, A34)
- Trentham Gardens
- Haughton
- Gnosall
Please be aware that the approximate cost for a place on this route would be around £1500 - £1600 per student depending on interest

IMPORTANT - IF THERE IS NOT ENOUGH INTEREST TO START THIS ROUTE IN SEPTEMBER 2026, WE WILL CONTINUE TO CONSULT ON PROVIDING IT IN FUTURE YEARS DEPENDENT UPON DEMAND.
