Lower School Head Girl
Hello everyone! I have been given the honour, this year, of the Lower School Head Girl title and I aim to ensure the younger students of NGHS receive a wonderful start to their educational career in secondary school along with my team. I hope to use my own experience to make the transition from Year 6 to Year 7, and the journey onwards, as ideal as possible.
The education we gain here is invaluable and the teachers are passionate about providing students with the best opportunities, both inside and outside of school. These opportunities, along with our education and the dedication of the school to our mental wellbeing, allow us to cultivate our skills and prepare ourselves for the future. I look forward to growing as a person and helping fellow students achieve their best.

Deputy Head Girl (Wellbeing)
Having a particular focus on the health and wellbeing of the students, my role as Lower School Deputy Head Girl aims to ensure that school life for every student can be as comfortable and enjoyable as possible. I will be working closely with the sixth form Head Girl Team in improving already existing support networks within NGHS.

Deputy Head Girl (Transition)
As the Lower School Deputy Head Girl of Transition and Integration, I shall be working to ensure the transition into our school is as seamless as possible- particularly for the new Year 7 students. The progression from primary school to secondary school can be a difficult one, with many aspects of life drastically changing. NGHS already offers an outstanding support system that ensures that this difficult journey is comfortable and enjoyable. The teachers and students are incredibly welcoming, making our school a warm community that is delightful to join. I look forward to working with the team to provide many safe opportunities for integration, so students can get to know each other and make new friends, which is of course a highlight of school life. It is an honour to be part of the Lower School Head Girl team and I hope to use my role to make a positive impact on the lower school.

Deputy Head Girl (Community & Careers)
Hello! I am pleased to be the Lower School Deputy Head Girl of Community and Careers. Education needs to be closely aligned with careers and the requirements of the community. Thus, it is my goal to ensure that NGHS girls have individual career guidance based on their needs, interests, and academic capabilities.
NGHS facilitates its students to obtain enriching opportunities of work experience so they can understand the need of the employer and the skills that are valued in the changing workplace. Towards this, I intend to work with students, teachers and the school to identify and target the relevant enrichment activities, including assisting the choice of subjects for visiting speakers, mentoring and enterprise schemes.
I aim to ensure that the younger years are confident in their GCSE subject choices, and will always be available to support them if they need any help. I will encourage all of our students to make the most of all the present systems at our outstanding school has in place to help them. Even during the pandemic, I hope to keep as many clubs and extracurriculars as active as possible, as they are a valuable part of a student’s high school experiences, and contribute to the strength of community within our school. I cannot wait to be able to help and assist my fellow students to thrive in our school’s environment, and advance through life as they prepare themselves for the future with the help of NGHS.
