UCAS Guidance

Here at NGHS we fully understand the importance of a strong UCAS application.  You will be supported at every stage of the process, being given all the knowledge and tools you need to complete the application.

UCAS is introduced firstly to Year 12 students through the enrichment programme. There is then a whole week dedicated to it in the summer of year 12 where you will visit a UCAS convention, receive support in choosing what and where to study, a whole day on planning and writing your personal statement and a visit to a university open day.

You will receive ongoing support and guidance from a team of experienced sixth form tutors, who will help answer any questions or queries you may have. Your reference will also be written by an experienced member of staff.

Finally, we will ensure that your application is as perfect as it can be before submission to UCAS. You will have a final meeting with Mrs Glew, our UCAS administrator, who will double check everything for you before submission.
