Dear Prospective Sixth Former
We will have Open Mornings from 20th to 24th November at 9:30am - 12:00noon and an Open Evening on 23rd November starting at 7pm. You are welcome to come and look around on one or both occasions.
The Open Mornings will allow you to see the school functioning normally where as at the Open Evening the teachers will be able to give you their time and attention. Subject information and presentations are designed to give you an opportunity to consider the combination of subjects you wish to study at 'A' Level and there will be sixth formers you can talk to.
We look forward to meeting you during our open week.

With an overall pass rate of 99.2% and 70.3% A* to B grades, both improvements on last year, it is not surprising that 92% of the students in Year 13 have successfully secured places on their chosen courses at university.

I am delighted to tell you that we have received the great news that the planning permission for the new teaching block has been granted.
This was very welcome news, and will massively support the CIF (Conditions Improvement Fund) bid that we will be submitting in a couple of weeks.
The other major element of the bid is the fundraising, which is going very well. We have raised £270,000 to date, and gifts are still coming in.
Again, I would like to say a big thank you to all those who have given to the campaign so far, your support will no doubt help us secure the bid.
If you haven’t given a gift but would like to, please contact Anna Bailey in the Campaign office on 01952 797570 or email@example.com.

As we reach the end of the school year I am taking a few moments to reflect on the last 12 months and decide what might be considered the highlights. That is more difficult than it may seem as there are so many outstanding performances and achievements but also less obvious successes in many lessons or routine activities which mean a great deal to the individuals concerned.

Dear Parents and friends of NGHS
As we are just about to embark on our Sixth Form recruitment for 2015 I have taken a few moments to reflect on the destinations of the students who left last summer.

Congratulations to Year 13 on your A Level results.
At NGHS the frequency of events worthy of comment never ceases to amaze me. This is such a vibrant and dynamic place that the half-termly newsletter covers just a fraction of what goes on in school and is 'old' news by the time it is published.
With this in mind we have replaced the newsletter with new functions on the home page of the website. The Headteacher's blog and the news articles will allow us to keep you updated on many aspects of school life whilst two Twitter feeds, for admin and PE, will get messages and information to you in an instant. We will continue to email letters to you and will tweet any updates should arrangements change.
We will be changing our email address and telephone number over the summer holiday and will issue the new contact details shortly.
